The Arm of YHWH

Updated: Apr 5

Has Abba revealed Himself to you? Please read every single verse in this post at least once and very carefully. The clues in those verses will stand out as broad as daylight to those who He has revealed Himself to.

Have you ever stopped to think of just how relational Abba is and how He helps us experience it despite feeling so far away? He uses terms like "Father" with us because He desires a relationship with us. Yet how is this even possible when we are corrupted, and His actual presence would destroy us?

Since Abba cannot reveal Himself to us directly, He chooses to do so by entering another form that relates better to us. It is vital that we understand Who the Owner of that form is. So, what is that form? Throughout scripture, Abba mentions how He sends out His arm to do His work for Him. That arm is Him - not a mere messenger separate from Him. It is literally an attachment of Himself, sent out to gather and protect His people.

Psalm 44:3 For it was not by their own sword that they took possession of the land, nor did their own arm save them. But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face — for You favored them.

Isaiah 51:5 My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone out, and My arms will judge the nations. The coastlands will wait for Me — for My arm they will wait expectantly.

John 12:34 So the crowd answered Him, “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up [crucified]? Who is this Son of Man?”

John 12:37-40 Though He had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in Him, so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “YHWH, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of YHWH been revealed?” Therefore, they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”

Many are confused over the term "Son of Man", because, how can Abba be both Father and Son? Son of Man refers to the form God has taken. Basically put, it is saying, "Human." At the same time, Yeshua is the Son of God, because He is not merely flesh alone - He is the Arm of God, or an extension of God.

Isaiah 40:9-11 Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, YHWH GOD comes with might, and His arm rules for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. He will tend His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs in His arms; He will carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

Remember how Yeshua referred to Himself as the Good Shepherd and fulfilled those prophesies? Some say that Yeshua never claimed He was God, but this is not so. Yeshua spoke in riddles so that the blind and lawless would not understand, and only the ones who truly feared and sought after God would know who Yeshua was. No man can be called the Shepherd, the I AM, forgiver of sins, arm of God, and Savior of the world without it being blasphemy.

Isaiah 43:11 I, I am YHWH, and besides me there is no savior.

People ask, how can Yeshua sit at the Father's side if He is the Father? Because He is the arm of the Father and thus resides at His side. He can be sent out from the Father and return to the Father as the Father wills. The arm is in complete subjection to the Father's will, just as our arms are to us.

Daniel 7:13,14 “I was watching in the night visions. Behold, One like a Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days, and was brought into His presence. Dominion, glory and sovereignty were given to Him that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will never pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

This is no ordinary son of man.

Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; His kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.

Isaiah 40:10 Behold, YHWH GOD will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.

Since Abba Himself cannot be revealed to man, to get to Abba, we MUST take hold of His arm to be lifted up from our fallen state. Otherwise, there is no way that we can stand in His presence. This is why Yeshua said, nobody comes to the Father except through Me. It is humanly impossible to be in a relationship with the Most High unless you come to depend on His right arm.

Song 8:5 Who is this that comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her Beloved?

Isaiah 51:9-11 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of YHWH; awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the dragon? Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over? And the ransomed of YHWH shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Deuteronomy 9:29 Yet they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out by Your mighty power and by Your stretched-out arm.

Psalm 98:1 O sing to YHWH a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm has gotten Him the victory.

Deuteronomy 11:2 And know today, for I do not speak with your sons who have not known and who have not seen the chastisement of YHWH your God, His greatness, His mighty hand, and His stretched-out arm...

Isaiah 30:30 And YHWH shall cause His glorious voice to be heard, and shall cause the descending of His arm to be seen, with raging anger and flame of a devouring fire, cloudburst and storm, and hailstones.

Isaiah 52:10 YHWH has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

So, has He revealed His arm to you? Are you aware of who exactly the Son of Man is? Or is it still a mystery to you? If He remains a mystery... just ask Him to reveal Himself and believe that He will.

John 14:21-23 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him. Judah (not the one from Kriot) said to Him, “Master, what has happened, that You are about to reveal Yourself to us and not the world? Yeshua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him."

Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of YHWH revealed?"

Isaiah 53:2-4 For He grew up before Him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He had no form or majesty that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

Jeremiah 32:17 Ah YHWH God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and stretched-out arm, and nothing is too hard for You.

John 1:2,3 He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made.

1 Timothy 3:16 And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
